Firearms & Tactics Training
Handgun Training Courses
Our handgun courses cover multiple levels of skill from beginner to advanced, with a focus on marksmanship applied to real-world combative situations. 88 Tactical’s Handgun training courses include Intro to Handgun, Concealed Carry Certification (CCW), multiple levels of Basic Handgun Defense, Intro to Competitive Shooting, Low Light Handgun and Skill Builder sessions.
Carbine (AR-15) Training Courses
Similar to our Handgun offerings, the Carbine Rifle curriculum takes students through multiple levels of instruction. These courses generally focus around the AR/AK rifle platforms, with plenty of live fire and real world combative focus.
Precision Rifle Training Courses
This curriculum was developed by one of the best Designated Marksman Instructors in the country. The basic level of Precision Rifle includes proper setup and interface between rifle and shooter, weather conditions and their effects on ballistics, and how to precisely dial in your optic.
Combatives & Self Defense Training
Primal Defense Courses
The Primal Defense series offers self-defense courses and a new branch of Everyday Armed Combatives courses. This interactive, adrenal-based training is one of 88 Tactical’s most popular civilian course offerings. Our top-notch instructors empower students to develop and sharpen their responses to threats and danger.
Edged Weapon Tactics Courses
88 Tactical offers three levels of physical, active self-defense coursework based on western knife combatives with considerable influence from various military applications. This is not a “knife on knife” fighting or martial arts course – learn simple and effective maneuvers to defend yourself using a knife.
TacMed, Survival Skills & Specialized Training
Active Killer Response
88 Tactical offers multiple levels of Active Killer Response, so you will know how to react and defend yourself against the threat of workplace violence, home invasion, an active shooter event, or terrorist attack.
Home Defense
88 Tactical’s new Fighting in Structures series starts with Basic Home Defense and Solo CQB, which teach participants skills to defend their home and loved ones against a variety of threats. These courses are interactive, making use of shot indicating laser training pistols and training projectiles (airsoft) against real people, and do not include live-fire training.
TacMed
The Tactical Medicine (TacMed) classes fills the gap between combat aid and civilian EMS training. The program consists of three trauma care courses — from basic to advanced. Learn basic life-saving skills, like bleeding control, wound dressing, airway control, and shock prevention.
Survival Skills
88 Tactical’s top wilderness survival & bushcraft instructors teach students life-saving survival skills at our 160-acre outdoor facility in Tekamah, NE. The Intro course covers fires, signaling, shelters, survival kits and gear.
SERE
Survive. Endure. Respond. Excel. (SERE) is a challenging weekend-long course that builds self-confidence and team camaraderie, and gives students the skills to overcome real-world challenges. No two SERE classes are ever the same.
Rappelling
88 Tactical’s multiple levels of rappelling classes take students from learning basic safety knots, equipment and commands to making free rappels down the 70-foot tower. Whether your interest in rappelling is job-related or it’s simply a skill you’ve always wanted to acquire, this is the place to start.
High Threat Vehicle Engagements – Open Enrollment
88 Tactical’s Open Enrollment High Threat Vehicle Engagement (HTVE) course takes the key principles from our LE/MIL HTVE class and applies them to real-world incidents that anyone might have to face in day to day life. A law enforcement traffic stop gone bad, a carjacking, road rage incident, or parking lot assault involving a conscientious CCW permit holder are remarkably similar in nature, and therefore require a similar tactical response.
Youth Training Courses
Anti-Bully & Anti-Abduction
The instructors will teach students how to deal with bullies in a non-violent manner, and then transition to anti-abduction tactics. Kids will learn life-saving skills, assertive verbal and non-verbal communication, and situational awareness in a fun, safe and engaging environment.
Youth Gun Safety
Young shooters will learn safe firearms handling skills, cleaning and storage, and range rules and etiquette. The instructors provide a safe and fun setting for students to learn these fundamentals. 88 Tactical also offers Youth BB Gun Safety courses on a seasonal basis.
