CONCEALED CARRY TACTICS
Concealed Carry Tactics is an interactive, non-live fire class designed to better prepare students for real world self-defense encounters. This two-hour course will also better prepare students for additional training courses, like our Concealed Carry Scenarios, where you can put your skills and decision-making to the test!
The Concealed Carry Tactics sessions are fast-paced and fun – sometimes including slightly physical tasks. This training will help bridge the gap between skill training and scenarios, where “repetition meets reality.”
This course is specifically geared toward individuals who have their Concealed Handgun Permit and have received some additional live-fire training.
If you want to learn and consistently train to respond in realistic situations and deal with people, not just paper targets, this is the course for you.
Concealed Carry Tactics sessions will cover a wide variety of topics, including:
- Behavior-driven marksmanship skills
- Awareness and avoidance skills
- Interactive person-on-person drills
The specific tactics for real world situations will include active threat, home defense, counter mugging, defense against knife attacks and other scenarios. Each class will be different.
These short sessions are an excellent way to increase your ability to prevail in a way that cannot be accomplished on the live-fire range.
SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger) or Airsoft
This class utilizes SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger) or Airsoft training pistols that allow live, dynamic interaction with students and instructors role playing the different scenarios. On occasion, students will need to engage each other with airsoft training firearms, so we recommend students bring basic protection (see below) to every class.
We will provide eye protection and headgear, but you should provide your own protective clothing to deal with airsoft projectiles.
- Loose, full length pants and shirt with an additional light jacket or hoodie and sturdy belt
- Neck protection, such as a scarf or a shirt with a tall collar
- Gloves that are thick or have rubberized material on the top of the glove
- Groin protection which can be as simple as a knee pad or folded up shirt
- You may also consider bringing a holster for a Glock 17 pistol and a flashlight
- **DO NOT bring a live weapon to this class
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid government issued I.D. and basic familiarity with your chosen handgun. Must have successfully completed Intro to Handgun, have your Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP), or otherwise good firearms safety skills and a working knowledge of how to shoot a handgun.
