Training for active threats in the workplace

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) — 88 Tactical put on a free seminar for responding to active threats in the workplace Thursday. It’s a unique safety training course for Omaha businesses.
The training went over tools for identifying active threats and basic strategies for responding by running, hiding and fighting.
CEO Shea Degan says it’s important to develop the right tools to react in a dangerous situation.
“Typically, people think that it can’t happen to them. We want to make people aware of the possibility of something happening. And we also want to be able to train them up so that in the event of an active shooter situation, that they know how to respond appropriately,” said Degan.
88 Tactical is hosting another active threat training session next Thursday.
