EDCQC is a progressive training series designed to teach students how to safely, effectively, and decisively operate a handgun in close-quarter, structure-based environments. From the basics of movement and threat assessment to advanced live-fire and force-on-force scenarios, this course series is built to prepare individuals for real-world encounters inside and around buildings.

EDCQC is divided into six progressive levels.
EDCQC
LEVEL 1
A non-live-fire course using airsoft and laser replicas to teach safe weapon handling, room navigation, and individual tactics in a 360° environment. Ideal for beginners or those looking to build foundational skills.
COURSE RATE: $150
- Safe weapon handling in a 360-degree environment
- Avoiding misidentification of threats
- Employing flexible tactics in dynamic environments
- Utilizing cover and concealment effectively
- Navigating and controlling corners, hallways, doorways, and rooms
- Constantly evaluating and addressing potential threats
- Comfortable pants with belt loops
- Belt
- Glock base holster (otherwise provided)
- Clear safety glasses
- Welcome to bring your own airsoft or training laser pistol (otherwise provided)
- Students must be holster certified or completed Intermediate-Level handgun 1
- Or approved from the training department
EDCQC
LEVEL 2
Applies core tactics from Level 1 in a live-fire setting. Focuses on navigating urban terrain, using cover, and making sound decisions under stress.
COURSE RATE: $150
- Safe weapon handling during movement in close quarters
- Urban terrain navigation (hallways, doorways, rooms, corners)
- Threat assessment and engagement fundamentals
- Use of cover and concealment
- Improve threat identification and decision-making under stress
- Safety glasses and hearing protection
- Pants with belt loops with belt
- Handgun, holster, cover garment, and three magazines
- 150 rounds of ammo
- Completion of Everyday Close Quarter Contact Level 1 or instructor approval is strongly recommended to ensure a foundational understanding of movement and structure-based tactics
- Completion of all Intermediate Handgun Levels
EDCQC
LEVEL 3
Participants run realistic scenarios with role players, using airsoft weapons to test their skills, awareness, and split-second decision-making.
COURSE RATE: $160
- Participants will run through reality-based drills to review and reinforce key techniques and concepts taught in EDCQC 1 and 2.
- Students will navigate a series of structured mini scenarios against live role players, utilizing airsoft training weapons to simulate real-world conditions and test their judgment under pressure.
- Safety glasses

- Individual protective gear: A loose, long-sleeved shirt or hoodie, groin protection (it can be something like a knee pad or cup), and gloves (gloves with rubber or hard materials will provide more protection)
- Airsoft handguns, helmets, and neck protection will be provided, welcome to bring your own
- Completion of (EDCQC 1 & 2) or instructor approval is strongly recommended to ensure a foundational understanding of movement and structure-based tactics.
- Completion of all Intermediate Handgun Levels

LEVEL 4
An intermediate, non-live-fire course focused on navigating complex interior/exterior transitions, tactical angles, and team-based tactics.
COURSE RATE: $160
- Navigating and clearing hallways and doorway
- Engaging threats in room entry and interior space
- Exterior-to-interior and interior-to-exterior transitions
- Managing angles, corners, and angles of exposure
- Decision-making under stress with simulated threats
- Safety glasses
- Pants with belt loops with belt
- Individual protective gear: A loose, long-sleeved shirt or hoodie, groin protection (it can be something like a knee pad or cup), and gloves (gloves with rubber or hard materials will provide more protection).

Live-fire drills in confined spaces with an emphasis on decision-making, tactics, and movement under pressure in realistic conditions.

- Urban interior movement fundamental
- Threat recognition and engagement in confined spaces
- Integration of tactics with live-fire execution
- Decision-making under realistic conditions
- Pants with belt loops with belt
- Handgun, holster, cover garment, eye and ear protection, and three magazines
- 150 rounds of ammunition
- Completion of (EDCQC 4) or instructor approval is strongly recommended to ensure a foundational understanding of movement and structure-based tactics.
- Completion of Advanced Handgun Level 1

LEVEL 6
The final level features immersive, scenario-based training with live role players. Focuses on partner coordination, protecting others, and tactical communication under stress.
COURSE RATE: $180
- Part One: Reality-based drills reviewing core material from previous EDCQC courses to reinforce foundational skills.
- Part Two: Instruction in more advanced tactics, including how to protect and manage loved ones and operate with a partner in dynamic environments.
- Part Three: Scenario-based exercises against live role players using airsoft training tools, simulating real-world encounters with complex variables.
