Suppressor Process Changes Starting Sunday, Dec. 14

Key updates have been released regarding NFA certifications as we approach the new year, and we want to ensure our 88 Tactical community is prepared for the upcoming changes, especially the temporary submission freeze by the ATF.

Here’s what you need to know:

Now through Dec. 14, 11:59 PM CST
You can purchase silencers and SBRs, pay the $200 tax stamp (or take advantage of any free tax stamp promotions), and position yourself for the best chance to certify before the ATF deadline and the 2026 rush.

December 15–31
Any purchases made during this window will be automatically set up for submission with a $0 tax stamp effective Jan. 1, 2026.

December 26
The ATF will stop accepting new applications and will focus solely on processing already-submitted forms.
➡️ No new submissions will be accepted from Dec. 26 until Jan. 1.

During this period, any new orders will have to be assigned under the “Wait for 2026” option.

January 1, 2026
Tax stamps officially drop to $0, and the eForm 4 process will continue as usual, just without the federal fee.

We’ll keep you updated if more information becomes available. If you have questions about the process, timelines, or how this affects your purchase, our Pro Shop team is here to help.
