About Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a self-defense martial art that focuses on grappling/ground fighting. By using leverage and proper technique, BJJ allows virtually anyone to fight off and defeat much bigger and stronger opponents.
About the Instructor
Scott trained with Rickson Gracie from 1993 until 2000, when Rickson returned to Brazil. Shortly after, he became an affiliate of Fabio Santos, a RED AND BLACK BELT under the Gracie family and has an academy in San Diego, CA. Scott provides a friendly and encouraging environment in which to learn and apply the techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You will learn true, undiluted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with rank achieved under Scott Thompson and Fabio Santos. Scott Thompson is the longest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner in the Midwest.
