Basic Carbine & Rifle Cleaning & Maintenance Course

In this 2-hour course, participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to properly and safely cleaning their carbine and rifles. Beginning with a discussion of fundamental firearm safety rules and secure gun handling practices, the instructor will present a detailed, step-by-step tutorial on the appropriate cleaning methods. Additionally, participants will be guided through a selection of recommended tools and solvents/lubricants for effective cleaning.

Ensuring the cleanliness of a firearm is paramount for various reasons:

  1. Safety: A clean firearm is less prone to malfunctions, reducing the risk of accidents or misfires.
  2. Reliability: Clean firearms are more reliable and less likely to experience jams or failures.
  3. Longevity: Proper cleaning and maintenance contribute to the longevity of a firearm. Residue buildup and corrosion can damage components over time, leading to wear and diminished performance.
  4. Accuracy: Clean barrels and components contribute to better accuracy. Residue accumulation, such as fouling and debris, can negatively impact the shots.
