Nebraska Concealed Carry Certification (CHP)

Firearm Training Course

Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit Training

This is the State of Nebraska course required to obtain your concealed handgun permit (CHP). 88 Tactical offers the most comprehensive Concealed Carry course in the state. In addition to the state required material, students take part in reality-based defensive drills, and are taught concepts of mindset and the realities of self-defense. The class consists of lecture, demonstrations, dry-fire practice, and live-fire training and testing. This is a valuable course for any responsible gun owner wanting to learn the basics of safety, storage, practical use, and self-defense laws.

What sets this course apart from other Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) classes?

88 Tactical recruits and retains the industry’s most experienced instructor cadre from the special operations military, law enforcement, and fire and rescue – many of whom continue to serve today.

All 88 Tactical training courses are built on the core concept of Reality Behavior-Based Conditioning© (RBBC). RBBC was developed from this maxim: “the study of behavior is as important as the study of tactics.” 88 Tactical courses condition an appropriate crisis response that maximizes performance while working with, instead of against, a person’s survival-oriented instincts and intuitions.

*If you are not comfortable going to the range and shooting on your own, we highly recommend that you take our Intro to Handgun Course first.

Student Testimonials

  • "I almost never give reviews, but my experience at 88 Tactical was so impressive I wanted to give credit where it is certainly due. [...] Having had a carry permit in my previous state of residence, I thought the carry course I took there was top notch and the best firearms course I had ever taken. I took the Concealed Carry course today at 88 Tactical and it is hands down the gold standard in my opinion. Colton was an excellent instructor, very personable, genuinely cared about the success of his students and kept the class interesting, and trust me, 8am-5pm is a long day for a class. [...] The facility itself was easily the best I have ever seen, and I’ve been to ranges all across the country."

  • "SAFE, INFORMATIVE, FUN. I took the Concealed Carry class with Trey and he was ABSOLUTELY awesome. He made it a point to our class that men aren’t the only ones that should know how to safely and legally own and operate a handgun. They go above and beyond what they’re supposed to teach both in the classroom and at the range. I definitely recommend getting your permit here, especially to my female friends that are interested but a little apprehensive about going. [...]"

  • "My 18-year-old son and I, both fairly inexperienced with hand guns and a little nervous about getting our concealed carry, took the concealed carry class yesterday. I cannot say enough good things about our instructor Trey and 88 Tactical in general. They lived up to and beyond all my expectations after reading so many positive reviews. They have an exceptional reputation for very good reason. [...] The instructor and environment were safe, patient, helpful, informative, equipping, comforting, challenging, and inspiring. Our class ranged from the lesser experienced to former military and emergency response personnel, and yet everyone seemed very pleased with the pace and content of the course and that each individual’s needs were met. We live three hours away and it was well worth the trip. I plan to take many more classes from 88 Tactical in the future."
