Women's Concealed Handgun Permit Course

At 88 Tactical, we are committed to providing the most comprehensive Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) course in the state, tailored specifically for women. We recognize that women may have unique concerns and considerations when it comes to self-defense, and our women’s only CHP course is designed to address these needs. Led by our team of experienced female instructors, this course is taught with the female perspective in mind. We create a supportive and empowering environment where women can learn essential concepts of mindset and the realities of self-defense.

Our program combines lecture sessions, practical demonstrations, dry-fire practice, and live-fire training and testing to ensure a well-rounded learning experience. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of safety protocols, proper storage practices, practical firearm use, and relevant self-defense laws. Whether you are a seasoned gun owner or new to firearms, this course provides valuable knowledge and skills essential for responsible gun ownership and personal safety.

This course is not for beginners. It focuses on concealed carry certification, emphasizing responsible handgun ownership and legal use of force. If you’re not confident in safely handling your firearm, consider our Intro to Handgun Course or private training until you’re comfortable. If you’re not competent with your firearm, the instructor may ask you to leave and seek pre-training. Half the course fee will be refunded as store credit. You’ll need to re-register for the Concealed Handgun Course.

Proper Training Attire - What Not to Wear

  • No skirts or dresses
  • No open-toed shoes 
  • No leggings or running shorts 
  • No low-cut tops 

The required equipment is available for purchase or rent prior to class.

  • Eye and ear protection – $2/$3 rental
  • Pistol or revolver in proper working order, unloaded and stored in case before arrival – $15 rental
  • 2 or more magazines
  • Wear pants with belt loops 
  • A loose-fitting shirt or a cover garment that can conceal a firearm 
  • Closed toed shoes 
  • Sturdy belt and holster (no leather or nylon) – $5 rental for most common handguns
  • Semi-automatic firearm in working condition (no revolvers)
  • Minimum 50 rounds of ammunition – available for purchase

Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid government-issued I.D. and basic familiarity with your chosen handgun.
