Meet Randy J. Goodwin, 88 Tactical’s Brand Ambassador

He’s been seen around 88 Tactical mingling with customers, cracking jokes with members, and making followers laugh on social media. If you haven’t met him yet, his name is Randy J. Goodwin and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the 88 Tactical family as our Brand Ambassador.

What does a Brand Ambassador do? They are the face of a company and help elevate a brand online as well as in person. You might be wondering what makes Randy such a great Brand Ambassador. Not only does he know our brand better than anyone, he loves connecting with people and is not too shabby in front of the camera. In fact, you may recognize him. Born and raised in Omaha, Randy has carved out an amazing career in Hollywood as an actor, producer, writer, and director, having starred in more than 60 network television shows and feature films including “The Rookie,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “911,” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” just to name a few.

So how did Randy come to be 88 Tactical’s Brand Ambassador? Randy met Shea (Founder & President of 88 Tactical) their freshman year of high school. After realizing they had the same sense of humor, they became lifelong friends, maintaining their friendship through college and their time in the military. In 1990, Shea introduced Randy to standup comedy by convincing Randy to join him at a comedy show in Ottumwa, Iowa where he was the opener and MC. When a comic didn’t show up, Randy took over as opener and MC while Shea replaced the feature act. Over the next couple of years, they would continue doing several comedy shows together. In 1992, Randy moved to Chicago to pursue his acting career while Shea stayed behind to build his business. Thirty years later, the two childhood friends would reunite at 88 Tactical and pick up right where they left off.

Welcome to 88 Tactical, Randy! We couldn’t be more excited to have you representing our brand!
