Advanced Handgun Course Structure
Advanced Handgun is divided into three progressive levels. Upon passing the final level, students qualify to take the Advanced Qualification. Completion of all Intermediate Handgun levels and passing the qualification are required unless waived by the training department.
Advanced Handgun Level 1
This course teaches students to master the use of cover, dynamic movement like "getting off the X," and effective shooting from various positions, all while maintaining a tactical advantage under pressure.
Advanced Handgun Level 2
This course challenges students to refine their defensive shooting and tactical skills, focusing on effective cover use in dynamic scenarios. Students will practice action drills, movement between cover positions, and combat and tactical reloads under pressure.
Advanced Handgun Level 3
This course focuses on advanced cover applications and dynamic movement, challenging students to refine their tactical shooting skills. It emphasizes efficient cover use and advanced movement techniques, starting with SIRT pistols and transitioning to live fire.
Advanced Handgun Qualification
The Advanced Qualification allows students to demonstrate the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course. To pass, students must achieve a score of 80% or higher within three attempts, with each stage completed within a set time limit.*
Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion, a custom pin, and access to the next level of handgun training.
*If students do not pass within three attempts, they can repeat any class in the level at half price for additional practice. For personalized instruction, contact us at training@88tactical.com. Once ready, students can retake the qualification at the same price.
