Women's Intro to Carbine Course
This 3-4 hour course is an introductory training program specifically tailored for new female shooters who wish to learn the safe use and operation of a carbine (AR-15, M-4, or AK system). The course will provide a solid foundation for new female shooters to feel more comfortable and confident in using a carbine safely and effectively. The course covers essential aspects such as safe handling, storage, and proper operation of the carbine. By the end of the course, participants should feel confident enough to practice on their own at the range and consider attending future training sessions.
OBJECTIVES:
- Safe use of a carbine
- Safe storage of a carbine
- Carbine operation and accessories
- Weapon inspection and maintenance
- Basics of ballistics and zeroing
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- Carbine manipulations: load, unload, immediate action, remedial action
- Zero at 25 yards from the bench supported position
- Basic standing position engagement
- Each person must have their own carbine (AR-15, M-4, or AK) for the course
- Gun in a case or box
- A sling for their firearm
- Eye and ear protection appropriate for the range
- 3 magazines, 50 rounds of factory ammunition, no green tip, tracer, or armor piercing
- Firearms and range equipment is available for rental – Cost: $60/Person
- Age 16 and above
- No previous training required
