JTF Awesome member and Omaha, NE based 88 Tactical announced yesterday that Paul Hein and Kris Paronto will join their team as senior instructors. We’re excited and thought you’d be too. Here’s what 88 Tactical had to say about it:

88 Tactical is proud to announce that Paul Hein and Kris “Tanto” Paronto are joining its training team as senior instructors. Hein also serves as a risk management consultant, having spent over ten years consulting for Fortune Global companies, government and non-government organizations after retiring from US Army Special Operations. Paronto, a United States veteran and defense contractor, brings over 20 years of real-world experience and special operations knowledge to 88 Tactical’s acclaimed instructor cadre. In addition to instructing, Paronto will be assisting in the development of new courses that focus on his specialized skillsets. These courses will be announced later this year.

About Paul Hein:

After retiring from the US Army Special Operations, specializing in planning strategic counterterrorist operations worldwide, he spent five years in Corporate America managing security and insurance-driven risk management programs. He moved to Omaha to support his wife’s career in 2007, and has spent last 10 years consulting for Fortune Global companies, government, and non-government organizations on security related issues globally. Paul has numerous recent deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, and several countries in Latin America. He has assisted in the successful negotiation and release of six high profile kidnapped expatriates, and routinely advises on risk exposure in emerging markets, travel and working in high-threat countries.

About Kris Paronto:

Kris Paronto is a former Army Ranger and private security contractor who has been deployed all around the world. He was part of the security team that responded to the terrorist attack on the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station on September 11, 2012. Paronto and his five team members helped save over 20 lives, while holding off terrorists for over 13 hours. The book “13 Hours” gives a detailed account of the attack.

Paronto, a local Omaha resident, was introduced to 88 Tactical through contact with an instructor a few years ago, and has been an avid supporter ever since. In September, 2016, 88 Tactical hosted American Legacy Center and Leading from the Front’s “Shoot with Tanto” contest.
