Intro to Handgun Course

This course introduces new shooters to safe use, storage, and operation of a handgun.

The Intro to Handgun class consists of lecture, demonstration, dry-fire practice, and a brief live-fire session. Students will learn about different types of pistols and ammunition, weapon maintenance, misfires, the fundamentals of marksmanship, and more.

The required equipment is available for purchase or rent prior to class. This is a great way to try a handgun before you purchase.

  • Eye and ear protection
  • Pistol or revolver in proper working order (to be unloaded and stored in case prior to arrival)
  • 50 rounds of quality ammunition

Students must be at least 18 years old, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. The student or parent/legal guardian signing the waiver must have a valid government issued I.D.

The Intro to Handgun course FAR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. I'm an Army Vet that just wanted a little formal handgun training for myself and 14 year old son and this course did that and then some. I watched a young lady (maybe 15) go from jumping out of her skin upon hearing the first gunshot to confidently hitting her target repeatedly within a matter of 20 minutes...AWESOME!
