Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Class Types
At 88 Tactical, we offer two types of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes: Adult White Belts for beginner and intermediate students and Adult Advanced.
Beginner / Intermediate Adult BJJ Class
Our Adult White Belt class teaches BJJ fundamental techniques and positions, including takedowns, guard positions, and submissions. The class helps students understand how to move their bodies, how to use leverage, and how to escape. This class is for all white belts and new students.
Advanced Adult BJJ Class
Our Adult Advanced class is for experienced students who have earned a belt to grow their BJJ skills and proficiency. This class focuses on complex techniques such as chaining moves together, controlling positions, using leverage, and timing submissions. Learning these advanced techniques can help your develop your personal fighting style and become a more well-rounded BJJ practitioner.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Class Schedule
BJJ classes at 88 Tactical are drop-in style, so you can pick and choose which sessions you want to attend. You have the flexibility to pay per class, per month, or per year for your or your family. With monthly and yearly commitments, you’re able to participate in as many classes per week as you like.
Beginner / Adult White Belt Schedule
Great for white belts and beginner adults, this class is designed to teach the fundamentals and techniques of BJJ, including basic takedowns, guard positions, and submissions.

All Belts Schedule
Our BJJ All Belts Class is open to students of all levels, offering a mix of techniques, drills, and training, allowing beginners and advanced students to learn from each other.
- THURSDAY: 5:30pm-6:30pm
Adult Advanced Schedule
Our Adult Advanced class is for students with colored belts who want to further their skills in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This class focuses on learning advanced techniques and chaining movements together.
- WEDNESDAY: 7:30pm-8:45pm
- THURSDAY: 6:30pm-7:30pm
BJJ Gear / Equipment Requirements
- New students are not required to wear a Gi (a uniform for training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). For your first class, please wear comfortable athletic clothes.
- Returning students are required to wear a Gi. We have various sizes available for purchase in the gift shop.
- For extra protection, wear a rash guard and shorts under your uniform.
- If you have earned a belt, please wear it to indicate your rank.


BJJ Eligibility Requirements
Our all belts BBJ classes are open to all fitness levels and BJJ belt rankings, while beginner courses are reserved for adults just starting out and advanced are for students with prior experience who have earned a belt. This BJJ class is for adults only, with youth BJJ courses available in separate training for children 6 and older.

How much do BJJ classes cost?
The cost of a BJJ class at 88 Tactical depends on your membership status and payment plan. Non-members can choose to pay per drop-in session at $20/class, or select a more long-term commitment for unlimited classes like $75/month if you sign a 12-month contract or $90/month if payed month-to-month. Non-member families of four save even more, at only $175 month-to-month or $150/month when you choose a long-term contract. For 88 Tactical members, select tiers receive BJJ courses for free with your membership dues, while others get anywhere from 20-30% off non-member pricing in addition to your membership cost.
Do I have to be an 88 Tactical member to take classes?
No, you don’t have to be an 88 Tactical member to take BJJ classes—anyone can enroll by paying a one-time drop-in fee or by signing up for a month-to-month or annual commitment. As a non-member with a month-to-month or annual commitment, you can go to as many BJJ classes in a month as you’d like, but cannot take advantage of the other amenities at our facility, like the shooting range, fitness center, or dining.
Do I need to register for your BJJ classes?
No, all of our BJJ classes are drop-in style, so you don’t need to sign up or tell us you’re coming in advance. Just show up on time, ready to participate. See our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class schedule for days and times.
What should I wear to Jiu-Jitsu classes?
We recommend that you wear athletic clothing for your first class. A Gi (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uniform) is not required for first-time attendees. But if you choose to continue with the program, you will be required to wear a Gi for future classes. Newly designed 88 Tactical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gis are now available for purchase—ask a member of our team for more info!

Our Omaha BJJ classes take place at 88 Tactical in our Charlie classroom.
How do I sign up for a BJJ membership?
Non-members and members can sign up for a month-to-month or annual BJJ training commitment by contacting our Membership Services team at 402-933-7171 ext. 117 or memberships@88tactical.com. A BJJ membership only offers you unlimited classes and does not include all the amenities and perks of an 88 Tactical membership.
